Pierce the heart onto the wire so it will be easier to work with, and brush both sides with glue.

Using a brush that has been dipped in water, wrap the heart with a napkin so that wrinkles will form.

The wrinkles create a beautiful marble pattern.

The napkin must be very thin, and even then use only one ply. A facial tissue can be used instead.

After the napkin has dried completely, cut strips of red and white banana paper.

Banana paper has a very interesting structure that makes the heart even more stunning. Using the brush, glue the strips to the heart in all different directions without entirely covering the marbled paper below.

Brush decoupage glue over the entire decoration once more. Once dry, it will be transparent and acts as a final coat of varnish.
