Do you have cardboard boxes at home that have become an eyesore? Or perhaps they are damaged and need a makeover? Decoupage is an ideal way to „recycle“ them.
Materials: boxes, decoupage glue, natural banana paper, paper ribbon, scissors, paintbrush, pencil, clothes pegs
Trace the lid onto the paper. Cut out the circle, adding a border equal to the height of the lid.
Cut notches into the border.
Brush hobby and craft glue onto the lid
Adhere the cut-out circle first to the top of the lid, and then along the sides.
Glue down the sides, allowing the paper to overlap. Use a brush and a little glue to help.
Once the lid is bone dry, cut away any unnecessary paper.
Brush glue along the sides and adhere the bow. Use clothes pegs to keep the ribbon in place.
Once it is dry, the surface of the paper forms a beautiful pattern.
The finished product can be used not just as a gift box, but also as a decorative box for our trifles and treasures. A set of boxes looks particularly stunning if two different shades of paper are alternated.
