Christmas cards

1 Materials: Paper; ponge 5 silk; dye for silk; gold gutta; glue; thin bristle brush. Fold an A5 sheet of paper in half. Decorate the front with a square of resist-dyed silk. Use paper glue to adhere the silk to the card. Press down firmly and let dry. Draw on pictures with gold gutta or paint.

2 The greeting card pictured above has been created the same way as the card in picture (1); we only added a square of handmade paper to the composition and decorated it the same way as the silk. Various colours of gutta can also be used on paper.

3 Same method as for (2).

4 This Christmas card has been decorated with a wooden ornament. The ornament can later be removed and used on the Christmas tree. The article Christmas ornaments – angels describes how to make the ornament.
